Happy New Year to all our volunteers and donors, this include all those who care about VHCF and the Agape Kids and share our story. May the Good Lord strengthen you to continue to support us in anyway you can!
Still in the mood of celebration, I want to remind all of you that our campaign is still ongoing. Today we want to look at one vessel God has hand picked to be the first person to give to VHCF and the Agape Kids from her willing heart.
This present a story of a Maryland based lady called Faith Davis, she monitored our progress on facebook and haven been acquainted with all the sad stories of the Agape kids in the form of pictures and videos, she came to terms that God is calling her to support these children.
I see these children as my children, Faith David said. Her first donation was used to renovate an abandon Church building which is being used as a school house for the kids.....not only was she proving for the kids social needs but this is a clear provision for their spiritual needs as well. She however proceeded by giving towards our volunteers allowances, and she always gives it whenever she can. Just to add this, Faith started giving to VHCF at the time that it was in the process of being register as an Organization in the Registrar General Department of Ghana. I believe if people wants to give, it is not because of the registration that they will do so, but because of the circumstances of the kids you are serving, Faith Davis told Faruk Adam, the Coordinator of the VHCF.
Today, VHCF has no substantive support and for more than two years now, the founder Faruk Adam and co-founder Mamboriba Joseph together with Faith Davis are those who sustained the organization and the school up to date. It is amazing how these individuals committed their little resource in running the activities of the school and VHCF at large. If only you know the communities VHCF is serving, there you will appreciate the kind of gratitude and big smile your $10 will bring in the face of the kids and their parents. Little contributions though they are; they are making tremendous impact on the lives of the children we are serving and their communities at large.
Faith Davis, is making plans to be in Ghana this year to meet her kids (The Agape Kids), so feel free if you felt that the Lord is calling you to be involved, either your time or resources and contact us and lets discuss the various ways you can be a blessing to the kids. You can also visit us this year to work with the kids up to a month, if that is what the Lord wants you to do.
The school building work starts this month January, 2014 and sadly, we still have not received a dim in our campaign. Will you be the first person to give towards the building project, just like Faith Davis did in the past. Her story should serve as a grater motivation for you to make a fresh commitment to support this kids through the campaign (REBUILDING HEARTS AND LIVES THROUGH EDUCATION). The minimum amount fundly.com accepts is $10...and this caters for one kid for one month.
Please visit the Campaign Donation page to give your first $10, this I believe you act by faith but it will motivate others to do much more than we can ask for or think because they are being led by faith to do soo.
There is more blessing in giving than in receiving
